GI.SS 06 SS Build

So now that i have been acquiring parts lately for the truck i might as well start one of these.... I bought the SS in May 2012. Long story short I was a 19 year old kid 4 years ago with a 2005 GMC RST that was t56 swapped with 4.88 gears and hefty cam, with some spray. Ended up getting my Gf at the time pregnant and had to get rid of the truck. As well as join the military to provide some sort of future for my child as well as myself. Drove around a 02 silverado 2500 with a small lift for a few years til it started to rust apart! So i was in search for a new truck May of last year. Did some browsing and found a dealership with the SS so i called them up and told them to have it ready for a test drive. Little did my Fiance know at the time. (I showed her online another truck they had and brought her along ;) ) She took the bait as I was googley eyed at the SS. I was sold on the test drive after i did the notorious test drive burnout. I got the OK and took her home an hr later. Had a CAI and Magnaflow cat-back.First thing was straight to Top Notch Window tint to have her shaded in her proper form....a week later took her to Atco for her maiden voyage where I met Mark RockHead who introduced me to this site. Ran a best of 14.6 that night.

Next was to Clear the headlights.

Next was 2" Spindles along with Drop Hangers and Shackles for 2/4 . Still needed a little more in the front so I de-cranked the torsion bars an inch for a 3/4 drop on a 255/50/20 tire. Also installed my 05 tahoe valance.

Added some 10K HIDs

Tossed a new air filter on (mine was getting rusty), some tr55's, 160 t-stat, throttle body bypass, and corvette servos. Along with a Black Bear Tune (Thanks Justin) he hooked me up for being military...
results:

Traction is a real issue now...

I decided it was time to tint the tails and corners of my headlights

Goal for this truck is 12.50-12.90 NA and however fast i can get her to go on some juice

id love to throw boost at it, it all depends on funds. Iv been patiently waiting for the parts i want and for deals. Rich is gonna hook me up with some 16's so i can toss some stickies on and as it sits right now i think it has a 13.99 in it before i stab the cam and converter in it. This is my first goal and i like to go to the track between mods to see results from a specific part. First order of business is installing my headers and c notching my frame. then finding a set of sticky tires and id like to clamp the front spring but not really sure on how to do this the correct way...??

well my headers showed up friday about 1 and it took me all weekend to install. I will post pics tonight. shout out to Jayson ( Tyson1972 ) for his help as well as for dinner! Someone def had my truck apart before as there were some broken bolts which set me back in time. I was able to modify my stock y pipe to work after ALOT of cutting and welding. With my magnaflow it doesnt sound as id like it so I will probably be switching complete exhausts and have someone build a 2.5" collector to x pipe to some spintechs or corsas then out each side slant cut behind rear tire. just to tidey it all up. The Doug's headers were a dream. had to trim a couple plug wires as they were a little to close for comfort for me, but they work now. Ceramic coating didnt scratch at all while installing. they stay very high and relatively close to the floorboard and tuck against the trans. the collectors are welded on and comes with a complete stainless bolt kit.
