T-Bag
Welcome, ask away, that's why we are here. Your 05 VHO drivetrain platform is identical to the late 05 2wd and 06 SS platform. Clean truck man, nice drop, like the grille and those 330's Edited June 2, 2012 by Bad Ass Silvy (see edit history)

dwalk
Welcome!! Very clean truck.. love the boss 330's. And as far a headers go, are you buying the whole exhaust system or just headers? Pacesetters are a good brand for the money. $450 or so can get you some nice coated long tubes.
SilveradoVHO
Well i do want some long tube headers and as far as the rest i like my true dual but if i cant keep them i will get all new exhaust the only problem is idk if i order it as if it were for an ss

And you should be able to use your existing exhaust Edited June 2, 2012 by SikSSS (see edit history)

dwalk
Ok thanks alot sickss those look nice ima have to break into my piggy bank and start dropping mods in my truck. Any other mods i can start of with Zippy shift kit for sure. Maybe some vette servos for the transmission. You will definitely see some power gains their as well. And it doesn't break the bank to bad for the extra hp gains you get.

SilveradoVHO
hey what do you guys think if i put on a ss bumper i found this on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevy-Silverado-SS-Bumper-Cover-03-04-05-06-07-/261021746160?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3ASilverado+1500%7CYear%3A2005&hash=item3cc61bc3f0&vxp=mtr#ht_5085wt_1344
cb2big4u
I would try to grab an OEM one. That's just me though. I still don't understand if I need the metal bumper that goes under the cover or if we can use the chrome bumper as the interior for the cover. The more I read on the subject it looks as if a complete bumper change over is close to a grand with cover, duct, grilles, mounting brackets, shipping. SilveradoVHO
Wow nvm ill just keep my regular bumper its not bad anyways. By the way does anybody have dynatech headers if so where did u buy them from cuz ive been hearing bad things about pacesetter.
dwalk
If you wanna drop $1000 into headers you can get some dynatechs. But $450 for good quality coated pacesetter headers is probably the best bang for your buck.
