  4. My 1st post in close to 15 yrs… Okay so had an 06 SS back in the day and my be in the market for another SS or maybe a regular cab/clone/RST . Needs to be rust free and pretty clean and within a few hours drive of southeast Missouri .
  5. Still fighting the misfire. New plugs, swapped wires and coil packs. No luck. Everyone on the FB group says injectors and a new tuner lol so guess I'll pull those and see. Any recommendations for best Imjectors to potentially replace?

  7. Right on. Glad to hear you finally pulled the trigger. You will have to let me know how the do in the rain. We both know how poorly our local freeways shed water in our area
  8. Well, got the Toyo Proxes. Nice to have some grip again
  9. I have got some tires from Big O near Tustin and Katella. Depends on who has the best price. I was also going to check out a place I saw from the 91 fwy called Tire Outlet US (Near 91 Fwy and Raymond Ave)
  10. I've been through several sets of Toyo Proxes ST's on multiple trucks. The original ST's, ST II's, and now ST III's. They're good tires for the money. Not super sticky by any means, so you'll get good treadlife as long as you don't mash the pedal every single time. Put these in 275/45/22 on my black SS when the Nitto 421Q's that came on these wheels went lumpy with separated belts. Sometimes I've scored them off ebay (usual seller tends to be Priority Tire and one I think in the past was Buytiresnow or something like that) but also just for simplicity's sake just ordered through Discount Tire. Running them in the stock 275/55/20 on the wife's SS Richard
  11. Those are on my list as well. Pretty much between the Toyo Proxes STIII's and the Goodyear Eagle Sport All-Season. Where do you typically source your tires? I went out to the Americas Tire in Orange last time and may go there again.
  12. I am in the same boat... new tires needed soon. Going with 305/50/20 size again. I have been leaning to the Toyo Proxes STIII, mostly because they are more affordable. I have not seen much else out there in that size. So far I have seen the Kumho Ecsta STX and the Nitto NT420V you mentioned. My tires always seem to wear fast on the outer sides. Could have something to do with my driving style...... naahhh... ;D
  13. Hey folks. Getting time for some new rubber so I figured I would check back here and see what the current recommendations are. My last two sets of tires have been 420s (on stock wheels) and those are no longer in production. I would like to get something of the same performance level on both wet and dry pavement if possible. I did look at the 420s "successor", the NT420V but the mixed reviews give me pause. Any suggestions?
  14. I’m about to tackle this today. Went one direction with a N.A. Fast LSXRT 102mm TB and manifold. None of that shit ever lined up w Vortech set up and got aggravated. Put truck in garage for about 4years. now putting Vortech supercharger back into my 2005 AWD 408 SS. The old oil pan is going back on because it still has the SC drain plug and feed block attached.
  15. That was quick! Too bad we didn't get to see the pics. Richard
  16. Sold. Thanks for the inquiries.
  17. Selling my truck, 152k miles. Runs great, has sun damage on hood, roof, and spoiler. Has Bakflip tonneau, bed extender, gun safe. Stock condition, including the exhaust.b $17,500obo. Thanks my pics are too big, but it’s stock.
  18. Still fighting misfire on cyl 3, Blackbear is still helping with that but snagged a quick of the two dirty girls outside.
  19. Not sure yet, still shopping around for aftermarket optionss
  20. Nice truck, are you keeping your wheels?
  21. I still have my2003 all though I bought it in 2005 with 20,000 miles, now it has 57,500 still going strong
  22. Seems to be some buzz out there. The videos I found are based on rumors and the photos are just eye candy, I would say none are sneak peeks. Still there must be some fire generating this smoke
  23. I am hearing that there will be a 2025 Silverado SS. Does anyone know anything about this?? Shopman1
  24. After I get the tune fixed, needs a fresh oil change, I'm picking out some new wheels, and I really think I need to sort something out for brakes. Definately a weak point, not out of the norm for this year i don't think, just needs improvement so open to suggestions there. My raptor on 35s feels more confident in stops. Got the photo of the Corsa installed finally up here too.
  25. Been way behind on this. Got the blend mount and R3 mounted, also got some clear headlights and some LEDS all around. These aren't your typical EBAY crap replacement, these are the newest of new, and the light is amazing. Even have a tight cut off similar to HIDS. If you're interested in similar things hit up HotShot Offroad and just tell them you want the same SS replacements. Went with Morimoto's for the low beam, and GTR for high beam. Turn signals, rears, and 3rd all got LED swap. Only downside is for the large fans on the LEDS, i had to trim back into the brackets where the headlights mount, but no noticeable issues with it and the light output is insanely better. Of course i forgot photos through most of the install process, and don't have any outputs ones because of the fun project below. Will come back and update soon. Settled on Blackbear for tunes, first round went well but we noticed top end was off. We've been slowly going back and forth, found cyl 3 misfiring so she got all new plugs today. Gapped at 035. I'll say, the drivers side was a fight a bit, passenger was easy until that far back guy, that one can F'off... Got them all swapped, and on the code its saying cyl 5 is misfiring at idle. so need to pull that one out and re-gap it. Unrelated to all this, but is this overflow reservoir seem...low? been slowly doing all the upkeep and wasn't sure.
